One of the last schemes completed for English Courtyard Housing Association, this sheltered housing scheme involved the conversion of Stuart House, the old rectory, with the construction of new retirement houses and flats in the extensive gardens.

Built in local Cotswold stone and traditional roughcast render the new senior housing is laid out to create a series of courtyard gardens providing beautiful outlooks for elderly residents who spend much of their time at home. The scheme was winner of the prestigious ‘Best Retirement’ category at the Mail on Sunday British Home Awards.

The development has proved hugely popular and a second phase of five new houses and two new apartments for independent retirement living is currently being built on the Stuart Court estate.
